My interview at syndicate bank Bangalore on 17/02/2014 at 8:30 am Panel-1
First they checked the all documents we brought. They are calling 3 candidates in the panel they are given one topic to write in kannada they are giving 2 minutes to write after that they will send all candidates outside after that they are calling one by one.

Guys kannada is compulsorily to write, read.
After that they are asking only general and family background not one question from banking I prepared all banking related but no use all conversion in kannada only.
Last they asked marks I told and then they said you got good score, you will be selected they offered me chocolate and told get ready to go anywhere.

Guys they asking in general don't take tension but kannada is compulsory non-Karnataka guys interview going only for 5 minutes i think they will not selected for all Karnataka-guys they are taking 10-15 minutes my went around 12-15 min.

I went to the interview centre by 8:20 am. There are 4 officers in the panel . All are very friendly and seniors too.some of the questions asked by them are as below-

M1- 1. Asked about me and my native place
2. About my B.Tech branch. Here he asked why you chose banking?
3. He asked me about other exams and interviews which I have appeared
4.Based on my answer to above question he again asked me whether you leave our bank if you got some higher job.

M2- He is a silent observer but asked me about my preparation for bank exams.

M3- What is data mining?
what is IDRBT? ( Institute For Development And Research In Banking Technology,Hyderabad)

M4- What is Bancassurance?
What is RTGS and its minimum amount?
What is NEFT?
What is CRR?
What is SLR?

My interview was on 14th february. When I entered in the room, I wish them by sayinf gud evening all of you. They told me to sit and I tell them thanks. They saw my documents and started asking questions in english.

They asked me- tell me about yourself ? I answered the question then asked me about my family members, like what is your father, where does he work etc. They asked me about the function of bank and about RBI. What is CRR and SLR. another question is about mahila bank and about my graduation subjects. They asked what are the fundamental rights of indian people. They asked my total marks scored in examination and what are my score in maths. How much interest does bank give on saving account. And my last question is - why it is necessary to earn women. At last they wish me and I tell thank you and my interview was over.

Document verification starts at 8.30 sharply.. My interview starts at 11.20 and I’m the 12th member in my panel.. 3 of them are absent. There are 3 Men and 1 Lady. All of them asked me questions and they are very very friendly. Questions asked for me ( All questions in my local language only).

And told to write 3 lines in tamil. I did one mistake thn thy identify that and told its ok

Ans:Well Sir,Banking Sector is also like IT or Telecom Sector where u will get competitive work culture,continuous learning opportunities,stable monetary benefits .In IT field u may lay off from ur company during recession but not in Public Sector.

Q7.Then comes lady’s turn,she asked me about whether one can open 2 accounts in 2 different branches of same bank?

Ans:Yes mam,We can.

Q8.M2: Do u have any account and in which bank and which type of Account?

Ans:State Bank Of India(SBI) ,Saving Bank Account.

Q9:What is the Saving Deposit Rate and When it is added to ur account?Have u ever checked it in ur passbook?

Ans:Currently it is 4% Per Annum.It is calculated by daily basis and added quarterly in ur account.

Q10:Can you deposit money in ATM centre?

Ans:Yes Sir,we have cash deposit machines in ATM counter but are very less no..

Q11:What is ATM and Online Banking?

Ans:Automated Teller Machine.It is an electronic telecommunication device that enables us to perform financial transactions without the need of a cashier,human clerk or bank teller..
Online Banking is performing financial transactions on a secured website..We can do many tasks at home like viewing account balances, fund transfer, account statement, banking transactions, downloading bank statements etc..

Q12.What is CBS in banking?

Ans:Core Banking Solutions.The Platform where communication Technology and Information Technology r merged to suit core needs of banking like Recordings Of Transactions,Passbook Maintenance,Interest calculations on Loans and Deposits, Customer Records, Balance Of Payment and Withdrawal etc .is known as CBS.Bank customers Can Access their funds from any of the member branch offices as their branch server is connected to the central server..

Q13.Have you ever worked as a Volunteer and what qualities u need to be a good volunteer?

Ans:Yes Sir,in my B.Tech time I was a good volunteer.To be a successful volunteer we need Passion, Commitment towards work , Positive Attitude, Assertive, Appreciative, Discipline and be Flexible.

Q14.Why didn’t u get any campus selection in B.Tech time?

Ans: Yes Sir,I had tried my best in the software sector but I was keen interested in the telecom sector.Only one telecom company Tessolve had come and I had qualified for interview but the interviewer asked only one question to the last 10 students.But the talent cannot b judged in only one question.

Q15.Why B.Tech graduates like u will be successful as we the panel members r not from technical background?

Ans:Sir,in these days technology is being used in the bank in each and every section.Be it Internet Banking ,Mobile Banking,Cheque Truncation System(CTS),NEFT,RTGS etc..So a technical graduate can perform well for the better efficiency & productivity of the organisation with minimal effort .Moreover, now a days Every Bank needs SMEs (Small & Medium Enterprises).Banks are sanctioning their loan after verification n valuation of project which can b handled by engineers effectively as compared to non-tech graduates..

Q16.Have U Attempted IBPS Specialist Officers-3 Exam?

Ans:Yes sir,Yesterday I gave the exam and my attempt was 122.

Q17.They told me 2 read few sentences in Odia(Regional Language) from sambad newspaper as they want 2 check if he is eligible 4 clerk post or not..and also told me to write few sentences abt a topic in Odia..

Q18.One of the member asked me in Odia that have u ever been to ur village?

Ans:Yes Sir,my village is my birth place,upto 2 years I was there and then we shifted to Banarpal near Nalco As my father was the employee of that company.After that I have visited my village quite a few times..

7) If u will become financial manager then how you will manage banking ?

I was the first in verification and Interview as well.
So I did,t get the chance to prepare myself mentally...It thought "Itni jaldi kya hai inko ?"
Then, I entered the room, asked May I come in? they said, Yes.
I saw the panel, there were 4 person in the panel, 3 male n a Female officer.(Let M1, M2, M3<Female>, M4)
The whole conversation was in HINDI.
Mere kuch bolne se pehle hi M1 bole..."bethiye".
I said "Thanks"
Then I wish All of them good morning.(female first).
[Our chair was placed far from their table,So that they can watch you completely from head to toe(to check your Body Language]
Then M1(Very Softly and Gently) Said..."Naam Kya hai Kaha se ho ?"
I said "DEWANSHU CHANDRAKAR and I'm from Raipur"
Then he asked..."Chhattisgarhi aati hai kya beta ?"
I Said Yes then he "Thik hai apna intro chhattisgarhi me do"
(I got it's very easy) I Replied with confidence.
Than M1 Passes to M4, He asked "ATM ke kya kya fayde hai ?"
I Replied with confidence (Convinced them)
M4: (Asked 1 question I forgot, even i listen it first time)
I said.... sry sir iske baare me nahi jaanta...
M3(Female): RBI ke kaary kya kya hai ?
I replied...but she was not Convinced...she was looking for one word i did't got it...
Then M2: Aaj ka newspaper padha kya kya khaas hai usme ?
(Railway budget was the Headline)
I said about Railway Budget and they asked some que about it,,,\
M3: (Asked About my family background, Then Asked About my Village, Then asked about Agriculture Process...smthng smthng....
I replied all with confidence.
Then they said ok you can go now....
And i wished them thnks and good day...
(mear interview 5 min me khatam ho gya... mujhe samjh nahi aya ki ye positive hai ya negative !!!)
