Success Story of Shweta :

Hello everyone,

I am Shweta. And today it takes immense pleasure in sharing my success story.

I qualified in IBPS PO IV and CLERK IV and have been selected as a PO in UNION BANK OF INDIA and  as a CLERK in ALLAHABAD BANK .

At present I am working in UNION BANK OF INDIA as a PO.

I owe my success to my parents , my family and to my husband who kept me motivated in preparing for banking exams.

Now I would like to share few tips to all the readers of IBPS-NEWS .

1. Practice sample paper as much as you can. At least 2 per day... one online and the other one via book.. for online sample paper  I would like to suggest that one should go for mahendra online speed test.. trust me its very helpful.

2. Reading English newspaper not just help you with your GA but it also improves your reading skills.. which ultimately help you in your comprehension section.

3.For aptitude and reasoning.. practice more and more

4. And lastly the time management. time allocation is very mandatory and should be strictly followed in each section..

My time allocation in each section was:

 a )Computer                           10 mint
 b) GA and banking awareness  15 mint
 c) English                                25 mint
 d) Reasoning                           35 mint
 e) Aptitude                               40 mint

At last I would like to tell you that qualifying banking exam is not too tough .... Just trust yourself and study hard.

Thank you and all the best :)

I reached the interview venue at 11.30., later I have chit chatted with my local places guys(I mean Andhra, Telugu people). Went inside the place at

reading different books related to bank, current affairs and related things,
for a while I was shocked by seeing them. Finally, my docs got verified that
to in my native language(I mean conversation). That guys asked us to have
lunch and come. I came to know that I'm the 2nd guy in panel-1, so I refused
to go for lunch. now its my turn for interview..
Before I share my details, one thing I want to tell is the guys who were
going to take interview were very energetic and bold, firstly by seeing
them I felt fear to communicate with them, but the  interview was gone
nicely...

Actually they were (M1,M2,M3,F1)
I entered the room and greeted every one with warm wishes and they too
repiled me. At that moment I felt some what relaxed and went ahead. They
were friendly and kind enough to tackle the students.

-->
The questions asked are as follows:

M1: I think he is the head of that 4 people. He started with my name MAHESH, I
told yes sir,Done BE? ,yes sir and told that I have done from Dr. AMBEDKAR
INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLGY,Bangalore. He greeted nice.
Next he started with couple of questions, why bank? - I answered some what
and I told proud to work in banking sector, later he added a point that even
people working in INFOSYS, TCS will proud to work in their companies., but I
told working in GOVT sector feels better than in private sector. Next he
asked what your friends are doing now? and did you apply for any private
sector jobs?

Next he started with BANKING questions. Here it goes
1.  What is a Bank? -- i explained confidently
2. He took a concept of liabilities and assets., whether DEPOSIT is a asset
or liabilities?
I answered it is a liabilities, because it is not our own money  and we
have to return it back.
3. Whether LOAN is an asset or liablities?
I answered it is an asset, because it is our own property and lending to
some people with rate of interest then he told., that you understood the concept.., I really felt very happy for his comments....:)
4. tell me the online transactions?
I told Online banking, Mobile banking and again Internet banking., he told
that online and internet are same.., I told sorry
i was silent for a while.., Then he only gave a clue that fund transfer..ok
sir I got it and told NEFT and RTGS. He was satisfied.
5. What is NPA?
but I was not able track the acronym., He was telling that you know tell.
He only gave a clue as Non Performing Assets., Later I explained the concept.

-----Next the turn was to M2

M2: Well Mahesh, you told that you know Kannada to read , write and speak.,
yes sir i told so can you introduce yourself in Kannada. I did and  he was satisfied
later he gave a news paper and asked to read an article in Kannada paper.,
i did it.

-----Next the turn was to M3

M3: He asked about my hobbies?
I told about my hobbies and then he asked about yesterdays's festival
(HOLI). He asked to explain why Holi were celebrated?
I told the story confidently because the previous day only I came to know
about the Holi story. He was satisfied.
Later he asked why colors only have to be thrown in Holi,I didn't answer but
in point of time he asked another question. Will you celebrate Holi with
strangers? I answered

-------Next the turn was to F1

F1: actually she was also discussing about the Holi festival only like it
was very famous in North India than in South India and about the
disadvantages which occur due to the chemicals in that color and asked me
to tell STRONG point and precautions.
Last but not least question was " The personality who admired you?"
I told N.T RAMA RAO. She was knowing that personality but M1 was not
knowing and she only convinced him
Thats it...! My interview was over and every one thanked me and wished me
(All the very best).. HOPING FOR BEST...!!
Finally allotted to CANARA BANK

IBPS Clerk-II Success Story of Vani Vaidehi allotted in Andhra Bank

Hello everyone, we are going to publish success story of some of our regular readers who have just got allotment through IBPS clerk-II recruitment in different bank. Vani Vaidehi, a regular reader of our website, sent us the success story in IBPS clerk-II exam and got provissional allotment in Andhra Bank.

I'm Vani Vaidehi. I completed B.Tech in ECE in 2012. We did not have campus and I was also not interested in software jobs.

One of my friend's friend works as a deputy manager in Andhra Bank. I got inspired by him and strongly decided to focus on Govt. jobs., banking in particular because there are lot of opportunities coming in and a good scope for speedy growth. i took 2 month coaching in near by institute. I gave IBPS RRB clerks and POs as the coaching finished, and I was interested in teaching I took up teaching as my temporary career to help myself financially.

I cleared both POS and Clerks of RRBs but rarely any notifications came. So while working itself I prepared for SBI Associate clerks and IBPS clerks. I used to study around 2 hours daily. As I have grip on maths and reasoning, I concentrated much on GK. I used to search websites, read mahendra’s current affairs, news paper (both Telugu n English). I used to solve the model papers, practice papers on all sections and GK bits given in news papers like eenadu, concentrating mostly on 'business' columns n other economy related issues. Occasionally I used to revise formulae of quantitative aptitude.

I cleared SBH clerks and IBPS clerks both. But I lost in interview of SBH. Meanwhile I attended Deccan Grameena Bank clerk interview. These both experiences helped me for ibps interview. Finally I succeeded in it. For interview, I prepared for all banking related terms from internet, read interview experiences posted in websites, rehearsed how to give self introduction effectively and  current affairs as usual. I would like to tell one thing. Many people criticized me when I took up teaching in school after B.Tech. but I did not bother as it was very essential for me to do a job. but I never forgot my goal of getting Govt. job an kept working on it. My 8 month teaching experience gave me good friends and many sweet memories with kids.

I do believe in luck but success is 90% hard-work and 10%  luck. If we put 90% hard work, God definitely gives the other ten percent, which is luck. My next aim is to clear JAIIB. Keep working.

Thanks to Vani Vaidehi for sharing IBPS clerk-II success story with us. We had published IBPS clerk-II interview experience of Vani Vaidehi few month ago.
